Family Reunion

At the beginning of this month, my family had our first ever family reunion. It was a lot of fun. We went up to the mountains where my Grandpa used to work and stayed there overnight. It was really neat for me because this year would have been my Grandpa's 100th birthday and I got to learn a lot about him that I never knew before. It was also great to get to see my family. I haven't seen most of my extended family is years so it was really nice to get to see them again. Hopefully we do more things like this in the future.

Gary- "If I was a bear, I would push this tree over."
I guess he didn't need to be a bear afterall.

The Fruits of our Labor

Well as exciting as I am sure everyone will find this, our garden and flowers are growing like it's going out of style. So needless to say, we are pretty happy about it! Especially after all the watering and weeding.

Our carnival squash... I haven't quite figured out what to do with these yet.

Our eight ball zucchini. At first we were totally confused as to why they were just getting more and more round instead of getting long.
Haha, but we figured it out. I made a pretty dang good batch of zucchini brownies out of these!

The bell pepper is still a baby, but it's growing!

The Pepper.

Our cherry tomato plant wins first place for producing the most fruit. We haven't gotten a lot of strawberries, but next year we will. The birds have sure liked this plant though. We got our first big tomato just the other day. Now we're just playing the waiting game on all the other ones. Then of course our flowers! I'm really happy with them because they are spreading all over just like I was hoping they would.

Big Fish

Last week Gary went fishing with some friends and this is what he caught!

He caught the biggest one of the bunch!

22 Inches!

After I built up enough nerve the touch it... I, of course, wanted a picture with it too.
