Superpower

Since we have been married, Gary and I have been able to beat the rush everywhere we go. For example, we will walk into Cold Stone (or any other place that serves delicious ice cream) and not even 10 seconds after we arrive, there is a huge line behind us.

It's our superpower.

There was one occasion when we went to Sub Zero (for ice cream of course) with some of our friends and right after we walked in a huge line formed right behind us. Our friends noticed and said, "wow, we beat the rush," to which I informed them that that was our superpower.

Gary also has the ability to make everyday life just like a musical. He can make up a song about anything.

And when I say anything... I really mean anything.

He can turn mundane things in our lives like homework or cleaning the house into quite the tune. How he makes up such creative songs right on the spot I will never know. That might not be another superpower, but it sure makes life a lot more fun.

School. Christmas. Missouri. 2011.

Maybe if I incorporated blogging into my homework I would actually do it more. I can't believe I haven't written since the beginning of November! Time has just been flying by I guess. Last semester was beyond busy (I guess that's my excuse for not blogging more). Gary and I both took on a huge load and lost lots of sleep. Haha. I lost more than him because he reaches a point where he just doesn't care, but my perfection gene forces me to stay up late and get everything done. But all of our hard work paid off because we got really good grades and we are that much closer to being done! It's surreal to think we'll be done in April. I think I might actually miss school a little bit. Well let me rephrase that, I will miss my classes. I will not miss the stress and the intense workload. I just love my classes and I have learned so many valuable things. Well enough about school!

For Christmas we spent some time with my family. It was a great Christmas! It was so much fun to get out all the old ornaments from when I was little and decorate the tree with them. Such fun memories.

My favorite ornament when I was little was this little guy... who am I kidding... it's still my favorite ornament!
I made sure to put him front and center on the tree so that everyone could appreciate him. Gary really spoiled me by getting me Photoshop. I am still so excited about it! I just need to learn all the ins and outs of it. I gave Gary an old game he used to play when he was little.
They don't make it anymore, but I found it on ebay and I was able to get one that was completely unused! All the stickers were still on their sheets and everything. It was such a good find!
After Christmas we flew out to Missouri to spend a week there. We had so much fun! It had been a whole year since we had been able to go out there and so it was so nice to see everyone. We went bowling...
roller skating...and Sarah and I went and did a couple of photo shoots. I'll post the pictures of Sarah once I get them all edited but here are just a couple...We were going to take some family pictures, but weren't able to because it got too cold out. But we did manage to sneak in one after church.

We were really sad to leave everyone, but we set up Skype on their computer so we can actually see them more.

2010 was a really good year, but I'm really excited for what 2011 will bring. I have high hopes for this coming year. I think new years resolutions are sort of lame. But, with that being said, I do have many goals for myself this year that I hope I can accomplish.
