So Gary is officially a grown up. He can rent cars for a cheaper price and if we ever go back to Catalina Island, which we will if I have anything to do with it, we can rent one of their cool golf carts instead of having to rent those silly beach riders. Seriously, climbing all those hills on those bikes was a lot of work!
Well for Gary's birthday I wanted to do something super fun and give him a present that he would never be expecting. He always guesses my presents so this time was going to be different! With the help of Andy, Laurie, and Asher of course, I planned Gary a big surprise! So you may remember that Gary and I stayed at a bed and breakfast for Valentine's Day. Well Gary was going to make our stay there a surprise, but I found out. Hehe. But this actually worked to my advantage! I was able to plan Gary's birthday surprise because I knew we wouldn't be home!
Andy, Laurie, and Asher went over to our house before we came home and decorated and set everything up. I'm sure Asher probably did all the work though.
When we walked in the house it was all decked out and I think Gary suspected someone was hiding because he very quietly went and peaked into the kitchen. Well he ended up scaring Laurie because they were facing the other way thinking he would come through the dining room. Haha! It was great.

We first ate cake and ice cream.
Then Gary opened his presents! He got lots of great things from everyone!
And along with the help of my parents I was able to get Gary all 8 seasons of The Andy Griffith Show! He used to watch it with his Dad at night before bed, and he mentioned a long time ago how cool it would be to own all of them. He was so surprised!
Then we took Gary to the dollar store for a game we like to call, Dollar Store Makeover.
The game went a little something like this: first we had cards that said things like, "something for Gary's mouth," "something for Gary's feet," "something for Gary's waist." We each drew two of those cards. The object of the game was to dress Gary like a pirate... only he wasn't in on that little detail. So had to rig it a little bit and make sure he got the cards that said, "something for Gary's legs," and "something for Gary's feet."

The end result was fantastic!... as you can see!
Well with Gary all dressed in his pirate attire, we went and ate at Pirate Island. It was very fitting. It was such a fun and yummy place to eat!

Oh, and also on Gary's birthday........ Asher read Twilight.
