So, I have been totally lame about posting lately. I always have tons of homework. I really can't wait until summer school is over. Gary is taking tons of classes this summer and he is doing really well. I get jealous a lot because I'm only taking one class and I can barely keep up. I haven't been the perfect little ray of sunshine this summer because of all the stress that I'm dealing with. The combination of school and work and everything else have just made me a basket case. However, it's comforting to think that this time next year both Gary and I will be finished! Life will still be busy and have it stressful moments, but we won't have homework! So I can't wait. People always say the stress never ends and that things will still be hard after school, but seriously not having to bring everything home with you at the end of day will be so amazing. A life with no essays or tests sounds pretty good to me.
Gary sometimes tells me that sometimes he wishes I wasn't in school because I get so stressed and down. Sometimes I wish I wasn't in it either, but the light at the end of the tunnel is so close that there is no way I'm backing down now. In fact, I've had a lot of people ask me if I really want to even do school... probably because I compalin so much. I really should learn to not be such a little rain cloud. Haha. :P But the truth is, I really do like being in school. It's hard and challenging, probably a little too challenging sometimes thanks to BYU, but I know it will be worth it. And I really love what I study. I've learned so much that I really feel will help our family. It's been so great to learn such amazing things and also be able to put a gospel spin on everything. So that's one thing I know I wouldn't have been able to get anywhere else besides BYU. I'm not very career driven and even though I would love to get a job in my field, the only thing I've ever wanted to do is be a mom. I remember when I was little and my little baby dolls were just everything to me. I remember putting them to bed and even checking them in the middle of the night. I think that is the most important job of all and I can't wait for it. And besides, I will always have a degree to fall back on if anything were to ever happen.
Anyway, I'm probably just rambling. It's just something I've been thinking about lately. I'm so grateful that Gary is doing so well in school and I am so excited to see where life will take us after graduation. It's scary thinking about the unknown but I know we'll be taken care of. And I really can't wait for the next stage in our life. But in the meantime, I should probably get back to my reading...
