Projects
Here are the pictures of the dresser Gary redid for me and all my craft supplies, the chest he made to go along with all the other furniture he has made, and our new dining room he painted! Gary is so handy!
I wish I had a before picture of this dresser because it was seriously a dresser only a mother could love (or something like that). Just picture a really nasty orange tinted wooden dresser with really ugly hardware and that should give you a good idea. But then he turned it into this little beauty! He painted it cream and then glazed it. I love it because the only semi-expensive part was just the new hardware.

Way Overdue
Blogging has taken a back seat lately. I am such a slacker. School and life are just so busy. Every night Gary and I sit on the couch together with our laptops and study until bedtime. I know, I know, just thinking about it makes you giddy with excitement and jealous of us, but try to contain yourself. It's ok to be jealous because it is a pretty glamorous life. Sometimes we even take a break and go outside for some fresh air!
Even though school is hard we're getting through it. Graduation is so close we can almost taste it! And it tastes delicious. All of our hard work is paying off and soon we'll have beautiful diplomas. Life has been throwing us lots of curve balls lately, but at least school is one thing that we know will be over soon.
We have done a few things besides school lately. Such as:
*I got my new camera after saving for a whole year.
*We finally shot our gun we bought forever ago.
*I went to the zoo with Andy, Laurie, Asher, and of course my new Nikon.
*Gary painted our dining room.
*Gary finished the chest he has been making. Our bedroom set is almost complete!
*Gary also redid a dresser for me for all of my crafting supplies.
*AND we finally got new callings in church. As much as I will miss the kids in Primary I am really grateful for the change.
So stay tuned. I will be better about blogging. I promise.

Birthday
I had my birthday this past weekend. And can I just say that I love that my birthday is always on Labor Day weekend. It seriously is so fabulous having all that time to celebrate!
This year my parents came out on Friday and they took me to the mall where I went to Bath and Body Works and spent all my Dad's money. No, not really! But they did buy me some amazing things from there! They were having the best sale of my life AND I had about five coupons... so let's just say we saved more money than we even spent! I got a couple of candles and they smell like what I imagine heaven smells like. You think I'm kidding, but I'm not.
Then Laurie took me to Build-a-Bear and bought me a new friend! Haha, Laurie kept telling all the workers that it was my birthday and so they gave me a birthday girl name tag and then made me ring a huge cowbell to announce to the whole store that it was my birthday and that everyone needed to yell, "Happy Birthday!" I felt like I was five but it was so much fun. Now Gary and I are the proud parents of a cute monkey named George. He wears a happy birthday shirt and of course, skinny jeans. And he loves dancing.
Then that evening my parents took Gary and I to the Brian Stokes Mitchell concert on campus. It was so good. After that we partied at Andy and Laurie's house like it was 1999.
On Saturday we went to Swiss Days in Midway with Andy and Laurie. I can't wait to go back to that next year. Later that evening we went to The Story Telling Festival. It was absolutely hilarious!
Since Gary didn't have work on Monday he took me up to Temple Square and we saw the new exhibit they have of the temple. It is a model of the temple which shows all the rooms and everything. It was really cool to be able to see it. So all in all it was an awesome birthday and I got nice and spoiled. Haha.
